The Book of Romans 9:1-29

Oct 4, 2026

Welcome to Celina First! We’re glad you’re joining us for worship today. As we continue our journey through Romans, we come to chapter 9, a passage that challenges us to approach God with humility. We’ll hear Paul’s deep concern for his people and consider what it means that God is sovereign, his promises have not failed, and our salvation rests on his mercy.

Today we’ll also share communion, remembering Jesus’ sacrifice and giving thanks for the grace that brings us into God’s family. Communion reminds us of our connection to Christ and to one another. If you’re able to gather in person, we encourage you to come worship with your church family. There is something precious about being together, praying for one another, and sharing at the Lord’s table.

If you’re homebound or unable to attend because of health or mobility limitations, please let us know. We would love to arrange a time to bring communion to you, pray with you, and spend a little time together. Contact the church office so we can make those arrangements. You are a valued part of our church family, and we want to stay connected with you.

Let’s prepare our hearts to worship and receive God’s Word together.
