The Book of Romans 8:1-4

Last week in Romans 7, Paul described the struggle so many of us know well. We want to do what is right, but sin still seems close at hand. He ends the chapter with a desperate question: “Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?” Today, Romans 8 gives us the answer.

For those who are in Christ Jesus, there is now no condemnation. Not less condemnation. Not temporary relief. No condemnation. Pastor Craig will help us understand the difference between conviction and condemnation, why we are so quick to pick back up the chains Jesus has removed, and how we can have confidence in the grace of God.

The answer does not rest in what we have done. It rests in what God did through Jesus Christ. Thanks for worshiping with us today. Let’s prepare our hearts to receive the good news of Romans 8.
